Many in our communities struggle to acquire the basic needs of life: food, clothing, shelter. Others are victims of domestic violence, alcohol and drug abuse, and other scourges of modern society. Innocent children suffer through no fault of their own.

They feel these deprivations most keenly during the holidays. That’s when the Greater Newark Holiday Fund asks you to help these less fortunate individuals and families to a better life.

The campaign opens for donations on Sunday, November 15, 2009. It concludes on Sunday, January 17, 2010.

Our goal is to raise $400,000 during those two months. With the help of over 2,000 compassionate donors, we know we can meet or exceed that goal.

Your gift is important regardless of its size. In 2008 donations to the Fund ranged from a few dollars to five figures. We needed every one of them; we are grateful for all of them. So are the people who got help because of those gifts.
